Well i suspect that the farside is so heavily createred because it has been somewhat of a shield for earth. If it was flipped around then our side would eventualy look tge same right.....

That being said, i guess i like all the craters in the farside. So i like the farside better.

Far side, only after I've observed everything on the near side.

My favorite spot is on the far side at the antipode of the Earth zenith point (lunar coordinates longitude 180 East, latitude 0 North) near Crater Lipskiy.

That's a funny coincidence because I'm listening to them now. Just not that album.

I think I'd still prefer the near side. More diversity. Although it wouldn't be bad to have a peer at the far side either.

I love the near side's maria, wrinkle ridges, ghost craters, domes, rilles and faults as much as any moonatic. But i've often wished we could see the terrain that was buried by the lava flows, so my choice would definitely be the far side - especially Mare Orientale and crater Tsiolkovsky. Actually, my dream would be to have Luna present both sides.
