Default could a solar sail hide behind planet Mercury while the planet is farthest

away from Sun then follow the ? planet on a 44 day journey to where Mercury would be 30 miles per second then when the space ship solar sail would then unveil itself to the Sun at that fastest moment to then use the Sun light to break away from gravity hold and go really fast
The solar sail would be held by a tether of nano carbon tubes
no no wait a tether wont work will it?

ummmm

the solar sail could stay in place by not really staying really close to Mercury but rather staying enough distance to be pulled along but not really in Mercurys own satellite position
no no wait several tethers of nano carbon tubes being at every quarter of the planet Mercury could then grab the solar sail then as the solar sail was close to getting unveiled to the Sun would then use propulsion to go back to the other side of the forthcoming rotation tether to then re attach itself?

I honestly don't know, but let me ask: How would the solar sail maintain it's position behind Mercury if it was in orbit around the planet?
