is it possible for an eclipse of mercury (planet) to happen on earth?

yes but not that close. mercury oftenly eclipses the sun, but it is so small that we dont even notice it. In order for mercury to eclipse the sun as the moon, it would have to get as close to the earth as the moon. which is pretty much impossible. it is more likely for venus to do that, but that is still impossible. |
