Problem Autostar Controller??

I have purchased an ETX90 used and have tried to get it to communicate with my Win 7 computer and two different usb adaptors to no avail. I have found Weasner's site and have pin checked all wiring and have gotten correct mirroring of input using Hyperterm and shorting com pins.

During the controller self test revealed a problem that a rep a Meade had never heard of: Instead of Press Enter, my controller displays Press Press and for a couple additional keys down the line it does the same.

I am watching to purchase another but would like to fix this one first or in addition.

Hmm, you might try to make sure Voltage to the scope is adequate and stable.
