I just bought a 8" LX 200 Classic and it came with the 18vdc supply. But the scope I bought wasn't working. I removed the front panel and disconnected the the ribbon from the back and replaced the fuse. I hooked up the supply and just powered up the front board. It came on with no problems. The Dec. and keypad both turned on. When I attached the ribbon connector back on and turned on the power it blew the fuse. So far it's not the front board. Got the scope really cheap. Optics are great. Would love to get this going. Will be diagnosing it the next coming days. Any of you have input on this, I surely will welcome it.

Here is a thread I made concerning the LX200 Classic. Capacitor update is very important, especially the one in the hand controller.

OK, thanks! I got the new 12 volt power supply and it works well with the LX200 and also my ETX 105. I still don't understand why Meade originally shipped it with the 18 volt Scepter. I guess that was a mistake.
