Default The Pope Just Reaffirmed Vatican Ban on Condoms! Does He Live On Planet Mars?

Does he live on Planet Mars was my polite way of asking: Is He Nuts?

He lives in a large edifice, left alone with his thoughts and his empty prayers.

I don't know why he thinks banning condoms will stop people from having ***. It won't.

No, he occasionally makes at least marginal gestures to obey God.

No, he lives in a time warp because his religion hasn't updated since the 5th century or so.

It's very sad that people can:

1. Stay under the power of one man for religious purposes, even if it is only what they voice and not what they truly do.

2. Close their eyes in the name of religion. The man is a coward. He is afraid of an upheaval that would surely occur. It could mean older Catholics leave the church and, along with them, their money.

Isn't it ALWAYS the almighty buck?

Good for him.

The Church teaches God's commandments. This is not the Pope's personal opinion, but the law of the Church determined by the authority given to it by Christ.

The ban is on all artificial birth control. The Catholic Church says that any attempt to have *** that is not open to life is wrong. Therefore, condoms can never be approved by the Church. You cannot fix sin with more sin.

The Church can only promote abstinence, because that is what God promotes. We are not animals driven by our instincts. We are human with souls made in the image of our Creator. We are called to a higher place.

THeir never going to be accepting of contraceptives.
Just like they will never allow priest to take a wife, or gays to marry. Lets face it the church's attempt to conserve tradition is making there teachings less and less relateble. Thus there are so many of us leaving the church and just wanting to live a life of peace with out having to give explanations to any religious leaders that we are supposed to be holier than us. So yes, I am displeased but not surprised anymore.

No. Have some respect.
I'm not Christian, but why don't you learned why condoms were banned in the first place.

I am a Catholic, but on this issue, I disagree with the Pope.
