    Default Finally ready to pour the floor!

    Hello;

    Well, after several weeks of weather and other delays, I'm finally ready to pour my observatory floor. The re-bar, electrical line to the pier, and the pipe for the USB and scope HC cables are in place. With any luck, by this time tomorrow the concrete floor will be done! *YAY!!*
    The ends of the ABS pipe are sealed up with aluminum duct tape to keep rain out of the pipe until rest of the building is up.

    Every time I see a new obsy being lovingly erected, it renew's the appreciation of my own attempt --it is such a brilliant thing to do --you will just love the time spent using your new creation John --sound's like a cool project so far.

    Hi DrGui. Nice job I did something similar for my observatory. the cheapo tripod I got with my scope did not cut it. Now I have a very steady hollow pillar to run my cables up. I used a 6 inch metal gatepost.

    Sometimes the Universe just sucks. My pour will have to wait yet another week. The rain should be here soon. The Universe must hate me! Right now the feeling is mutual! Don't ya just hate it when the forecast suddenly changes in just a couple of hours?? Oh well, I guess I'll try it again next weekend. !#&@$!! weather!

    I love how it looks! I think you have already finished it so I want so badly to see some refreshed photos of this project. After seeing this post (I was logged as another person 7 years ago) I was inspired and decided to assemble a terrace by myself. It came out very nice. My whole family was happy to spend the summertime there, near the pool and our summer kitchen also. So thanks to you for inspiring me.) Also wanted to ask you what flooring did you ut? Is it wooden? Cuz I put composite decking and I love it so much but I am curious to compare these two.
