Hi all, I have 2 Nikons. a D7000 and a D5100. my lenses include 10.5mm fisheye, 18-55mm zoom, 55-300mm zoom. 105mm macro, 80mm macro, 50mm prime, 500mm prime and assorted little gadgets that bring it all together.
I have a Celestron CPC1100 HD and a Nikon D5100. I am new to astrophotography. This summer i built my own observatory (so I can stay out of the cold in the winter). I would love to hear how other Nikon owners are doing, and if they have any advice. I have heard differing discussions on using or turning off the noise reduction - so I plan on doing my own experiments. I would think that having a 'dark frame' automatically utilized with each light frame should be beneficial (although it takes twice the time).

Hello everyone..I live in Atlanta GA...the sky here is red-white LP. I've been doing astronomy for a few years now and started in AP about a year ago. I own a D5000 and a D3000. I also jhave an Orion CCD camera, but I guess thats for a different group.
Hi there guys, I have a Nikon D60 which I attach by means of T-adapter and 2xBarlow. I am just wondering if any one has advice on attaching without the Barlow. If I remove the Barlow optics, I am unable to get the image to focus on the camera sensor. Is there some way of achieving this. My scope is either Skywatcher SK15075 Newtonian on EQ3-2 motorised mount or Skywatcher Flextube 200p Dob. I am not using the Dob for photography as I have not yet learned how to make this scope behave itself. By the way, it seems that the D60 group is dead and the link takes you to the EQ5 group. So maybe this group can be killed.
Hi everyone, I now have a 'second' D80 which works flawlessly with my 20-yr old AF lenses, and that I mainly use for daily photography, but got some Baader rings to be able to attach it to my dob for short exposure Moon pics, basically... Also planning to do a DiY eq platform (kind of Gary Seronik's) for wide field AP or, why not, an eq platform some day for the whole dob ! Glad to have joined the group and learning from your comments.
I own a D90. I use it at the prime focus position on my 1100 Edge Hd. I use the Cgem DX mount. I has worked out well for me.
I have a D3200 with the standard 18-55 kit lens only, I would have preferred the D5200 but money is tight and I got this camera as a free gift for renewing my phone contract for 2 years. If funds allow I would like to get a bigger zoom lens, maybe a 70 - 300 manual or something but we'll see
I have a Nikon D 600 it is a full frame and I generally use a Tokina 16-28mm F2.8
