Hi everyone. To start this group out I decided to open it up asking which is your favorite/favorites nebula/s

To me Orion is my favorite.

Horsehead is beautiful

M42, because thats the first one ive seen. . . (through a junkie 127 reflector) and NGC2244 (even though i havent seen the neblosity(i think thats not right but the dictionary is on the other side of the room) i saw that through binoculars. (i just saw the cluster))).

Hi all , My fav. is orion because it is so easy to find , I try to check it out every night that it is in view . At least with binoculars .Its like an old friend , got to make sure hes ok . Tonight i have the lx90 8in. out so i am hoping it will stay clear .

For me it has to be the Horse head and flame nebula complex, it is exceptionally difficult to see visually and requires very dark skies, a large aperture and a Hydrogen Beta filter in order to see. However it is relatively easy to image and produces one of the most spectacular landscapes of the heavens. It is also one of the most recognised objects in the night sky

The Orion nebula during the winer under the right conditions I can locate it with the naked eye. I also enjoy The ring I saw it the other night when the moon was almost full. It looked like an out of focused star untill I changed eyepieces and refocused.

I'd have to say M42. Let's face it. It's one of the showpieces of the sky.

Well,this is a tough question to answer. I love to look at all the nebula I can. And to pick out just one is most difficult. Though we all like to gaze the night sky and look at every thing we can..I myself am totally a nebula guy. Sure I look at all things,but nebula is my weakness So if I were to pick out just one.... I'd have to say Hummm... Ok I'd have to go with roverich on this one. Orion. It lies in a cool looking constellation,is easy to find, and the colors & shape are awesome.

hello!!As many of you, my favorite nebula is the nebula of orion!Actually is the first nebula i have observed and the only one..I was unlucky to find any other nebula in the night sky..

I'm a webcam photographer, m42 is obviously the most spectacular, but my favorite is definitely the Tarantula Nebula.
