    Re the temperature sensor: yes, it will not indicate the actual temperature of the imaging sensor However, in my camera's brief life, I was able to determine that the reported temperature was approximately proportional to the actual temperature. I was able to predict from the ambient temperature what reading the camera would report once the cooling had stabilized.

    The difference between ambient and the reported temperature is close to half the difference between ambient and the actual imaging sensor temperature. Not as handy as knowing actual temperature, but not at all useless either.
