Here is a 360 degree view of my primary home observing site, dubbed the Section 8 Observatory. The image is a smaller version of a photographic horizon image I made for use in my TheSky 6 Pro program, North is at the extreme left and right, South is dead center.

Overhead Google Earth view. You can see the small circular area in the cul-de-sac where I set up the telescope:

Pierre, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You suck! (Not really man. I'm just insanely jealous of your panoramic view! )

Carol, very nice and quaint! (the good kind of quaint!) I visited England in 2002 and loved the cobblestone streets and quaint little villages! Very pretty country!

Aetuis, LOL@Brutus! Beautiful view as well!!! (You might suck too )

Well here is my view from my back patio. I have a good view to the south and west, okay view to the east although I usually have to wait for targets to creep a ways up into the sky to the east. North is not so good, as the house hides everything below about 50 degrees of elevation. Too many yard and street lights out front to try to observe from there so north is a lost cause. (Observing at all since Christmas Eve has been a lost cause and the pics show why. Lousy weather!!!)

(The rest are down at the bottom)

Where I get my real treat is when I take my equipment with camping to the Atlanta Idaho area. No lights within 40 miles and no cities within 75 miles. Skies so pristine and clear you can't find a target for the mass of stars! (I'm just fine with that!)
