    Angry Ayer y hoy

Yesterday, I see this weather forecast.

Almost a week of clear sky near new Moon??
So I tell the boss weather is looking great for next week. I'll take leave Monday to Wednesday, reduce some of the excess leave accrual that HR is jumping up and down over. We had already discussed me taking a few leave at short notice when astro weather was good.

I rechecked the weather just now

I know the feeling, having spent many a wasted vacation staring at the clouds rather than the stars.
If the forecast changed that much it could swing back and fortune will once again favour you, good luck!

    Yep.

About this time last year I took my forced annual week off work hoping for some nice long nights. I didn't touch a scope the whole time.

I did get caught up on "Game of Thrones" though.

    Hi Bryan,

I've already applied for a months leave for mid-June to mid-July for my trip to Argentina and Chile, so even though I've accrued too much leave, HR can't force me onto leave. All they can do is whinge. He he he...their rules, their problem.

Got a text from someone out Yass way at my observing site that it has been raining with hail and very cold winds today. I guess this is a sign that, here in the southern hemisphere, ......wait for it......"Winter is coming!"

Next week is looking like a wipe out for astro but at least I waste any leave.

    cheers

Hi Joe. This proves the old saying; "If you don't like the weather, just wait awhile and it will change." And, we did have not one, but two hail storms here in the central east coast of "Sunny Florida" this last Wednesday morning. I hope that the weather improves for your viewing plans Joe, and the best of wishes on your upcoming trip to Argentina and Chile.
