    I got a quickie view of Mizar and Alcor though my 102 Mak for the first time a while ago and they looked real to me.....whatever they are

    The book / play first and then the movies were a great comfort to me growing up. I don't think I need to revisit.

    I started getting in trouble in school in the first grade since I already had access to the tree of life and thought evolution made excellent sense. My classmates believed I was already damned to hell.

    Ha! No. I read too much mainstream science at an early age. At 5 I did suffer from a delusion about gravity that was equivalent to "It's aliens!" But by three years later I had had my first encounter in a book from the high school library with Einstein's elevator and the equivalence principle so I recovered quickly.

    They keep going back and forth on it. Second addition of Cambridge Double Star atlas (which claims to contain only real binaries) includes Albireo.

    Yes, but the Gaia data puts the kibosh on a physical double quite definitively.
