Default No alignment stars in observing window and clouds moved in

I have a window from S to SE of 60 degrees at the tree line and 25 degrees at the zenith. I have Altair in the window from dusk to 10:30 and then it is behind the trees. At the Zenith I get Deneb about 9:30 to 10 to 10:15 and then it is behind the trees.

Due to my severe LP I cannot see any other stars visually so once I lose those two alignment stars I would be guessing since even with averted vision you cannot make out any stars in my Bortle 8 sky.

Until Pegasus clears the trees I am out of AS, at the same time I can usually only make out 1 or 2 of Pegasus' stars.

    No wonder I like solar

    Rough stuff, Jeff.

Say, brother. I've got an empty lot just to the right of these scopes. Come on down and slap a house together.

"Little coolish" is like being a little bit pregnant ROFL our damp cold in the winter, lows around 0 F. is enough for me.

It just makes the Messier 70 and Messier 80 contests more of a challenge. I may look into plate solving to see will that allow you to align a goto mount for AP without seeing any stars or not?

Great report Ben. Hope the views get better
    Nice lot Bryan, great view
Hillrat, stayed in Alaska for a long cold time. 640 acres sounds nice. Be rough in a wheelchair. Love my home in SC

Interesting idea I will be wanting a summertime place to live in not so long as Florida in the summer is beastly. That lot next to Bryan's place looks great too

Desert fishing trip? hmmmm the salted Mackerel is on special I hear there lol. But as far as dark skies decent weather and low humidity that is a great point. So are you going to pitch in and build an annex apartment on the back so you can visit ? Tenacity oh yes that is in abundance among the Star Gazers of this Forum.......
