    Default I'm Going Stir Crazy!

It's been over a month since my last imaging session! Managed one evening in that time to do some guide testing.. but that's it!

Lovely new Ccd and autofocus system to test. Was hoping tonight might have been ok.. Can see the stars, but lots of high wispy clouds drifting.

Come on weather.. give me at least 1/2 a chance!

    I agree Aidan,
I have had many days recently where the sky has been clear and blue with very crisp bright sunshine but come sunset the clouds roll in with the night making it impossible to view never mind image
Fortunately I had 4 hours of imaging last night, from 5pm until 11pm. A couple of hours setting up refocsing/collimating etc. It was supposed to be until 5am but the cloud gods changed their minds ggrrrr!!

Hope the weather changes quickly there and you manage to get a few clear dark skies.

Nothing but clouds here, for the past month (almost) and only rain is in the forecast. I hope it clears up by March/April! Come on, this is supposed to be sunny California! I hope you can get out there soon Aidan.

I think what's more frustrating is all I need is a couple of hours to test/adjust things! And yep, new hardware = clouds for sure!

Only a couple of hours? Man your good! It took me like 3 or 4 nights at least before I had things working like they should!

My last dark sky outing was 5 months ago. Every single New Moon weekend since has been shot. Long range forecast for the next isn't looking any better, but it is still three weeks away, and I am a hopeless optimist... Gotta be in astro...

Last night the sky was absolutely wonderful when I got home at 11:45 with a belly full of calamari and chicken piccata. Figures. I was asleep in ten minutes.
