    Hello Again

At the request of my son, we took out the telescope at around 10:15 pm on Jan 30. Again, we looked at Venus, mars and the moon (my son realized why we need to get a moon filter as it was painfully bright). Then we pointed toward's M42 are were not disappointed. We could see several stars clustered together and a grey haze surrounding it. Details really started to pop out as our eyes became accustomed to the dark. My son then wanted to try to view M31. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate it as I think Andromeda was being washed out by light pollution. We will try again once we have another window of opportunity.

    Cheers!
