    Default Ensenada, BC!!!

    Ok
Not exactly a good observing report...
I am writing from Ensenada, came to spend some days down here visiting friends, the suggested i bring one of the telescopes " because the stars are nice here", as you all know there was tremendous rain this past few days, so i didn't bring ay scopes, not even the binos, and now... the sky is perfect clear, and yes, they were right, the " stars are nicer " here, in fact, from his house, you can see Andromeda galaxy with naked eyes, and with a little dark adaptation, the MW is visible, remarkable for a large city!
Note to self ( and suggestion to y'all):
Never, never under any circumstances dare to travel without at least one telescope... you will cry ( i have) thinking of the nice dark skies being wasted up there...
I can count 5 stars in M45 from home i can see "something" there.

    Ouch. That'll learn ya, Nico!

Maybe you can find a cheap pair of binoculars somewhere?

Enjoy your stay, nonetheless. I have never been to Baja California. I would like to see it someday.

You brought your eyes so it wasn't wasted time at all
But in case of rain, storm, tornado or something like that , don't forget to pack up at least a little pair of binoculars next time

I should have brought the binos, we went whale seeing and thanks to my averted vision i was guiding the captain of the boat to where wales were
I am coming back home today, will be back to Ensenada beginning summer, i found some nice camping sites ... and guess what will come next time?
Now i have to create a nice excuse to drive thru the border with some bottles of wine ... hmmm... medicinal elixir perhaps?

Back home, the original plan was to rest one day here ( and enjoy the wines we brought) and the hitting Joshua Tree NP on Thursday, but the forecast is not really good, so perhaps i will give the horsehead neb a try on the next days...
