    Scientists may not have Eta Carinae all figured out but I can tell you it is one awesome sight in the telescope.
    My favourite object to see in the southern skies!

    As good as M42 is, I have a slight preference for NGC 3372 (Eta Carinae Nebula) visually. They are both stupendous and quite different visually.

    Apparently, even if I were to travel to Florida, I'd have trouble seeing this.
