Default Night Sky: Visible Planets, Moon Phases & Events, August 2016

Hi all. I would normally label this as "Best Night Sky Events of August, 2016. And, I wondered why there was no July report. I am sorry to come in late with this, but I am just catching up on the forum after my wife had Lasik surgery and I had some more yard fence mending last week. I have just learned that Geoff Gaherty passed away on July 7th, 2016, from a kidney complication. Geoff was the content and layout editor for Starry Night. However, Space. com does have an August edition. It is not as easy to use as Geoff's "magazine" format, where you could just click the right or left arrows on the magazine template and go to the next (or previous) article. You have to scroll down, and on the far right side are the individual icons for the topic or article in which you are interested. However, it still provides the same great information, maps and charts, so I am including the link, here at:

Night Sky: Visible Planets, Moon Phases & Events, August 2016

I hope this helps in your observing plans and that it is useful to you. Thanks for looking, and the best of wishes for many clear skies.
