My favourite thing is to scan the constellation Sagittarius - it contains so many interesting clusters and nebulae, but only in the summer as this is when it is visible in the northern hemisphere.

So far, my favorite thing to look at is Saturn. There's so many things I still have yet to see, though!

Depends on where I am. From my house, I default to finding Jupiter, Andromeda and the Orion nebula, as I live in a fairly light polluted area where it is difficult to see anything too much dimmer. However, when I head out a few miles into the hills, I enjoy tracking almost any galaxy that is in my field of view. Also, when it is clear out, I usually spend a while just scanning through a patch of sky to see what's there. Discovering things I'm not aware of, even if someone else already found it, is always the most exciting.
