It will still look like a bright light even with a telescope and you will have a hard time keeping it on it while moving.

    Also, no photo?

Well, no luck tonight (9/9). Went out at around 19:30 to wait for it but it never showed, despite perfectly clear skies.. I'll try again tomorrow.

@Joe, thanks for the link. I'll download that tomorrow and have a look at it.

@Zeiss, you're right, it would have been very difficult to locate and track it with the telescope. We discovered today that it's not focusing right anyway.

Also, though, if I would have been able to view it clearly in the telescope, I think I might have been able to see some detail on it. With my binoculars at 7x magnification, I could make out a greyish looking object. The lowest power on the telescope is 40x mag. (be kind, I'm no amateur astronomer).

Also, I'll try and have that photo up today. I wasn't on my computer today and I can't get on from my work computer (I'm posting this from my mobile phone).

Here's a pic of the light I've been seeing. Not a great picture and not very impressive because it's from my phone. But the fact that my camera phone could even see it says something..
