    Default manufacturer info wanted



    Hi all there,

    I'm looking for information about a telscope wich is still in use made in
    the late 1800's (I think).
    On the telescope is written (engraved): Plöfsl in Wien
    So i f anyone has some information about this I would be highliy
    interrested.

    In English - that would be Plossl in Vienna.

    AFAIK. Plossl was mainly famous for the invention of the Plossl eyepiece
    design.

    I would say that any telescope made by Plossl and still in good
    condition would be a valuable instrument.

    You are right. This is the one I have!
    It's made between 1835 and 1840 and is still in use.
    Infact the first time I saw the rings of saturn is was through this 160 year
    old scope.
