Hi James. Used to get around that part of the state once in a while before I retired. Beautiful area. Bet you have some good skies for viewing. I'm an hour or so west of Philly. Used to be country but the suburbs are starting to catch up. I'm new to this too. The folks here are freindly and helpful. Welcome. Len

The skies have not been very good the last few weeks. In fact the forecast calls for rain this entire week. One of the many things I like about Astronomy is the many things I can be doing when the weather is bad. Reading my books, looking at my charts, or making my own stuff. I already made my own cases for most of my stuff. Now I am making a planetary imager out of a cheap webcam I got at walmart.

There seems to be a lot of room for creativity in Astronomy. I am free to try new things and the community is receptive and even helpful with suggestions.
