    Default Hello from Houston

Hello everyone, i have finally bought a telescope but it is an entry level one, Meade Telestar NG-60 60mm Refracting Telescope. I am excited that i will finally be able to stay up all night star gazing. i plan on buying a more power telescope, one that has at least an 8in. aperture.

i do not have a motor and a mount to use my digital camera but i think once my brother and i get a better telescope, like a 10"+ aperture, we will get the mount and motor and take amazing pictures. I will let you all know what i can see once it arrives and hopefully that night the skies will be clear but i do not think it will be since it has been raining the past few days.

    Default Hello Houston

    Greetings from Austin!

Looks like it'll be next week before the skies will clear up for us. Alas, waiting makes the heart grow fonder. Bummed I'm gonna miss the upcoming Saturn shadow transit though.

hello there fellow texan, you have a better view of the universe than i do because you are a lot higher up than i am. My brother an i plan on taking trips to Conroe or Huntsville during the summer because last time i went to Huntsville with my professor and classmates, you could see clusters and constellations with the naked eye it was absolutely beautiful.
