Hello, I am Jim Bruton and I live in San Diego County, California, and also Arizona Sky Village in SE Arizona. My main instrument is an LX-200 30 cm (12 inch) f/10 SCT. I also have a 20 cm (8 inch) f/8 RC. These OTAs alternately share a Losmandy G-11 mount. I use a QSI 683 with RGB and bvr filters.

My primary interest is in light curves of variables; I'm an AAVSO member. My secondary interest is in astrometry of minor planets and comets.

I use Linux OS exclusively, and am using KStars & Ekos to run the hardware.

I am curious about others' opinions and suggestions about which free, open source Linux-compatible IP software works best, first for pre-processing, then for photometric analysis. I'm using AstroimageJ successfully, and am exploring Munipack and Siril. Which of these or others offer the best user experience and reliability in IP? I've also just purchased a Raspberry Pi 4 and will install the StellarMate OS, because want to set up to run my 'scope from a warm room a few meters away.
