    Wink Hello from Vancouver, Canada

A short note to say that i am always interested in the stars. My office view offers a very clear platform to observe the sky, albeit not always that stable!

Over the years i have visibly (naked eye) watched satellites track, seen lunar eclipse from the flight deck, bolides of various colours as well as identifying the constellations and etc. It always surprises me how Venus rising on the horizon from 40,000’ in the air rivals a distant railway train light or even another aircraft pointing at you with its lights on in the distance.

Anyway, i found this site while searching for a Casio Cosmic Phase Clock and a watch posting came up. I just restored one of these watches and was looking for the clock version. I saw that some have an interest in this particular watch (mine is not for sale ;-):

You might recognize the “Idmes Ferguson Mechanical Paradox Orrery” that a friend of mine made (Jim Donnelly).

    Well enough of an intro.

    Best regards, Geoff in Vancouver.
