    Default Hello from South Florida

Hello family! My name is Seth and I live in Miami. I am VERY interested in astronomy and recently purchased a Celestron 130.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get the most out of my telescope I would greatly appreciate it!

It came with a 10mm and 20mm eyepiece and is advertised that I would be able to see ring on Saturn and Jupiter, etc.

    1) Are there any eyepieces that would make my telescope "stronger" (more magnification) and if so what would you recommend?
    2) I really want to get into astrophotography. I was looking for an adapter so I can link my smartphone and take amazing pictures! Does anyone have any suggestsions for an adapter that would support a Galaxy S9 Android phone?

Thank you all for the time and I am looking forward to learning from you!

    Best

    Greetings Seth!

The way to get the most out of your telescope is to go to star parties near you.

May I commend to you the Winter Star Party, held in the keys, near Key West?

    Welcome aboard
Celestron and Meade sell those cell phone adapters, personally you also need some patience to use them.

    Welcome Seth.
    South Florida sure sounds nice.
    Enjoy your new telescope!
    Clear skies,

I had a 2x Barlow for my Orion 130. Doubles the magnification. Do the math though. Above 200x mag not too helpful.
