    Thank you folks. I am touched by the warm welcome. Can't wait to share some astronomy adventures with the rest of you. I definitely look forward to getting future advise on binocular purchases and also the purchase of a small refractor or maksutov for backpacking or camping adventures.

    Like someone said earlier, in this hobby you cross one item off your list and add three. In a way it's very similar to my ancient coins collecting hobby, where there doesn't seem to be any end, but rather new avenues to be pursued as one gets deeper into the hobby.
