    Default Allo allo!

Evening everyone, my name is Henno196 and I have just bought my first telescope, exciting times! For years I've been reading loads of astronomy books and watching space documentaries, I absolutely love wondering what is out there and the scale and beauty of it all. I recently purchased my first telescope and a few accessories, and have enjoyed setting it up and a bit of quick looking at Mars and some random star clusters. I'm based in the East Midlands in England, live in a small village with relatively low light pollution (according to online mapping) and am looking for tips to aid in my stargazing.

    Thanks for reading!

The weakest link in the optical chain is the large nut located directly behind the eyepiece/ camera. - Gabrielle
Ya gotta keep this Apo/Achro thing in some balance of perspective. Apos are awesome, but long focus Achros aren't that far behind them - Siriusandthepup (CN)
Refractors kick arse precisely because they don't hide behind excuses. That is, they have no obstructions to hide behind.
