Hi and welcome. Everyone has their opinions about scopes and accessories. I've given my view here on them, but I never put down a member having picked what they like. It's an individual's choice, that's what makes us different and it gives us all a broad spectrum of experiences and views on the equipment that all us members here have and use. That's the reason we're all here, to share our views as well as our disappointments. The Celestron 114 is a great scope. Hope it's the first of many in your upcoming collection. Good luck, spring is just around the corner.

Refractors kick arse precisely because they don't hide behind excuses. That is, they have no obstructions to hide behind.
