    Default Hello

    Hi,
New here and looking to learn more about using telescopes to view planetary and deep sky. My daughter (10yo) wanted a telescope for Christmas, so I'll be looking to learn how to observe with her.

I got the Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ (I understand it wouldn't be the favorite around here) but with the discount, I decided to go for it.

I've always been interested in astronomy, but haven't really used a telescope much at all, so it will be a learning experience, which is half of the fun.
