    Default Hello from east Texas.

Hi everyone. Just joined the forum. My name is Justin and I currently live in a small town A little north of Houston. I have loved astronomy since the first time I looked through a telescope. I have had a few cheap scopes through the years, but a couple days ago I was finally able to put the order in for my first "real" scope, an Explore Scientific AR152 refractor and an Celestron AVX mount. I bought the scope used, and the mount new from High Point Scientific. They should be here mid-week and I am very excited to get started with the new rig! Well, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I look forward to chatting with you!

Hello Justin! Welcome to the forum and thanks for joining us!

Wow! An AR152! Very cool! Be prepared for a HUGE scope! The pictures don't do that scope justice. It's an impressive piece of hardware. The AVX is a really nice mount.

When you get them and get the opportunity to get them out under the sky, we love to read first light reports here.

Anyway, congrats on pulling the trigger on these!

Hi Justin. We're all happy to have you on board with us. And that giant ES AR152 refractor on AVX mount should be a most solid performer for you. Welcome to the forum Justin, and please do keep us with a first light report when you get it all assembled and out under the skies.
