    Default Hello from NY

    Hi,
I'm saying hello. I live on western ny state, in a rural area that has some darker skies than what you would expect, for New York anyway. I've been interested for a very long time, I've been wanting a scope for several years. I finally made my move about 3 months ago I'm now the proud owner of several scopes! Celestron 8" edge HD, Celestron Omni 102 refractor, ES ED127CF with moonlight focuser, ES ED80 and a ES AR102! I also have a Quark chromosphere and a Lunt60 B1200 pressure tuned solar scope, the Lunt will arrive on Monday, as long as UPS doesn't have its way with it! I've clearly lost my mind! I've become addicted and probably need some kind of counseling! The really horrible thing is the past 2 months the weather has been, plain crappy!
I'm hoping to join a area astronomy club, in hopes that I can learn to use all this stuff to the best of my ability, but in the mean time I've been reading, studying and getting out to observe whenever and whatever I can In fact, the sky is pretty clear right now and it's a very rare 42degrees Fahrenheit here, so I'm gonna stick that Quark in the ED80 and take a look at the sun!
    Saying hello from NY,
    Joe
