Thanks everyone! Don't you know, as soon as I got the Quark filter warmed up, loaded in the mount, the clouds rolled in!
Yes, I went a little crazy with the gear for sure. I'm 52yrs old , my two kids are 19 and 20yrs old, they don't really have much time for dad anymore:-( A few years ago my wife passed away suddenly, I shouldn't really say suddenly, as it was 2 weeks of pure hell for me and the kids. I've been sorta looking for something to keep me busy. I've had a old crappy "big box store" scope for many years, that I never really used, pretty apparent why I never used it! I was rummaging around in the attic and saw it sitting in the corner and well, the rest is history.
I have a feeling that I'm gonna meet some good people in this hobby, just to bad I didn't start sooner.
    Thanks again!
    Joe

Welcome, Joe! So many live in light polluted areas, so take advantage of those dark skies! And yes, a club is a good way to see others in action and meet others with similar interests. Let us know how it goes!
