    Default newbie here



    H we llo to evrryone. I recentlybought a celestron 130 eq telescope and am quite new too this. So far ive been able to locate Venus Saturn and mars. I would like to see some nebulas but do not see anything. Is there anything special i need to do?

    hi and welcome to the forums.
    with your scope,it's gonna be quite hard to locate the dimmer objects,
    but some of the brighter stuff will be fine.
    download this free software:
    Stellarium
    it will show you whats in your skies and where at any time and will also give
    you the coordinates to find it.

    I did download the skyeye app on my Android and it has been very helpful. Im thinking next year at tax time i will upgrade to a better scope :-)

    i had skywatchers very similar 130eq scope to yours before i upgraded.
    it will help you learn so much in the mean time,as will regular visiys here!!

    One important thing is to practice using your scope, whatever that might be. A year form now you'll be seeing things that seemed impossiple now. Have some patience and remember to practice.
