    Hello all,
I live in Texas. I have recently combined two hobbies that have always been interresting to me. My best friend just bought a 8" Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain go-to scope and we took a 3 hour trip to fort griffith to view from the darkest sky in Texas. WOW... We are both hooked now! I am packing away my 3" scope and buying a 10" Zhumell Dob. Looking forward to learning a lot, taking bunches of great photos, and checking off toys on my list. Camera check, Binos check, and next a big scope!

Welcome to the forum, now that is a very nice scope, if you don’t already have it down load Stellarium you will find it very helpful and it is free program. Enjoy and clear skies to you.

Welcome to the forums. 3" to a 10" inch is a big jump in apeture. You,re gonna love the views. Don't be in a hurry to keep jumping in apeture, though. There are literally thousands of objects to view with a 10".
