    Default New Member Intro

    Hi,

My name is Mike. I am a new member, and I wanted to briefly introduce myself.

I have been interested in astronomy for several years and just recently have found the time to actively participate in the hobby. I am a retired organic chemist and worked in the chemical industry for 34 years, retiring in 2004.
I spent most of my career in marketing of new organic chemical products.

I have tried to keep up with new astronomy and physics discoveries the past few years and am interested in exploring the planets and DSOs both visually and photographically.

    I am thinking about purchasing a 12" LX200ACF and a Tak TSA 102 soon.

I appreciate being accepted as a member and I look forward to learning and contributing to the forum in the future.

    Mike
