    Smile Amateur astronomer long time.

I've been into astronomy since I was a teenager. Have built two observatories in the past. One in Palm Bay, Fl., 10ft dome and was two stories high with a 12.5 in. Cave reflector.

Second was built in in Dolega, Chiriqui, Panama, roll-off roof and houses an 8 in. Meade Cass.

Love to hear from anyone around the planet. Thanks for your time.

Welcome aboard Ed, we are very happy to have you here. I would guess that you retired in Panama? I have heard living can be very reasonable down there, and would guess you have pretty decent skies as well. Looking forward to your input from down south. Happy viewing.

Welcome Ed. Glad to have you onboard. How are the skies in Dolega? I'm going to presume much darker than here in light-soaked Dallas.

    Two suggestions:
    - Use that great shot of you in front of the Shuttle as your Avatar.
    - Let me know if you come across any extra 1924 $20 Gold pieces.

Wow - your living my dream
Thirty spokes meet at the nave, because of the hole we may use the wheel.
A cup is moulded from clay, because of the hollow we may use the cup.
Four walls surround a hearth, because of the doors we may use the house.
Thus tools come from what exists, but use from what does not.

Hay, thanks for the mail. Just wish I had an amateur astronomer here. I got the new scope and don't know anything about electronics. I like when you guided your own scope. Now I have a scope I can't guide and cameras inside mirrow that is molded. Just about finished with astronomy here. Oh! And seven months of rain.
