Default New to the site and to amateur astronomy

Hello, all! Just wanted to say hi as I am new to the site and to actual astronomical observing. I have been fascinated by the cosmos since I was able to read, and have finally bought my first real scope. I hope to get many years of enjoyment out of my new hobby and bring my children into the world of astronomy. I'm sure I'll have many questions for the fine folks here at astronomyforums.net, and I look forward to pleasant interactions with all.

Thanks everyone! I have an Orion SkyView XT10i telescope, so far with only stock accessories. Seems like a great 'scope so far, though the Intelliscope is kind of a PITA, though I'm sure as I learn more and remember what I learned in my high school astronomy class I will be able to locate objects on my own.

Hello and congrats on the scope! I hope to do some observing in Ohio when I visit my parents in June. Hopefully, we'll have decent skies....
