    hi...im new here...getting back into my first love....i found her when i was 10...left her as a teenager...drugs and alcohol really messed things up for me...but now i have my boys to show the wonders of the sky to!!! anyway,i saw a link about a recommended book for beginning astronomy..i thought it was on this site,but i could be wrong...anybody know which one i speak of? anyway,i am glad to be here!

    Two heartily recommended ones are Turn Left at Orion and the other is The BackYard Astronomer.

    As mentioned above, "Turn Left at Orion" is a great book. And like Joe said, Stellarium is a great free program.
