    Default Hello from Perth

    Hello everyone,

my name is Joop, I live in Perth, Australia.
I just got a telescope for Christmas (well, Sinterklaas gave it to me actually )and I am a complete n00b in sky watching.
This site looks really good to get me started, I noticed that there is a lot of information available.

I managed to clear the fist hurdle: assembling the Dobsian scope It as been cloudy the last couple of days, but from now on it will be clear skies

    Joop

    Hello Joe,
    Thanks for the welcome.
I have an 8" 1200mm SkyWatcher. Cannot wait to get started to use it!
However, that might take a couple of days as at this time of the year many evenings are booked doing other things :-)

    Merry christmas
