    Default Howdy, from Granbury Tx!

    Hello, Names Brad.
I have always looked up but never done anything serious about watching the skies above.
Just had 2 good events over this month.
The Geminids Meteor Shower and the Solstice Eclipse.
Got me thinking I might want to look a little close and get a scope.
Signed up to get some advice on a nice scope to get me out there beyond the ozone layer.
Great to be here and I look forward to sharing some experiences.

Welcome to AF, Brad. Whenever you are ready, go ahead to the beginner's section and post what you have in mind. Things such as budget, type of skies you have (how dark they are), portability needs, weight, size, intended usage (e.g. visual vs astrophotography) are all useful info.

Have a great time and clear skies !
