Hi guys,
I really don't have much to say.
I've just ordered my first telescope, a XT8i and am eagerly waiting for its arrival so I may enjoy my recent interest in astronomy.
I just hope the Cosmos will welcome me as well...

Hello lufil, welcome to the Forum. You can't imagine how much you're already part of the cosmos: when you look at those stars, remember that the atoms that now make up your body were long ago manufactured in the stars!

Welcome to the Astronomy Forum. You picked a good first telescope. I bet you've been doing some research!

Yes, I spent some time researching and talking to some people before choosing the xt8i. Orion XTs are always a good reference and the Intelliscope will help me get a quick startup...
