    Default Hello from Minnesota

Hello all and greetings from Blaine, MN.

Im very new to the hobby although ive been a "space buff" since a child. I never really had the chance to use a serious amatuer scope until last year when i got my first glipse of Saturn through an eight inch dob.

Well the bug finally got the better of me and I purchased an Orion XT10 about one month ago. Since then ive been out on my deck almost 3 or 4 times a week searching for DSO and looking at Jupiter. Had some great views of the ring nebula and M31 last night!

Im hooked. I came to the forums to get inside tips etc and just absorb anything I can about my new obsession (which is what my wife now calls it).

    Cheers!
