    Just wanted to say that if you ever need any help with the programming end let me know as PHP, MYSQL, HTML, CSS, etc are my strong points. Taking a look at my blog would probably show that I am a pretty big computer geek Great work so far btw. This is one of the better astronomy communities that I've found so far.
    Just another amateur astronomer living outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.

    To update this as I have been made aware of stickies from this forum, so I will mention the following.

    • update to the telescope review area - easier to submit reviews, more organized models/categories
    • blogs!
    • a secret exciting release for vendors

    are set to be live soon,

    The following are actually in beta:


    • calculators for magnification, f-ratio, eyepieces etc.
    • updates to the Sky Object Database to be more useful and easier to use/submit observations
    • events calendar until 2100 lol
    • lunar calendar per month / phase
    • live jupiter / saturn rendering with moon

    We may work on these in the near future:

    • video / youtube area addition
    • planetarium software live for your location
    • update to the Social Groups area to add calendars, file area for downloads, wiki (to allow members to make webpage for their group), improved user interface and fixes for errors
    • updates to the Astronomy wiki

    ok after some organizing with the Team Astronomy Forum .net is set to grow to a new level thanks to the community and team support.


    As mentioned before

    I could certainly get into the blogging feature. I essentially use my sketching thread for observing reports but the blog feature would be very nice. It would also be neat to subscribe to others blogs and follow their progress.
