    Why I use Eneloops!



    I have not seen so much fungus since the Pleasantville Farmers Market of 2008!
    Oh this is AFTER I cleaned it!
    Light actually passes through the mirror!



    This is after one hour of tapping with a tack hammer and a couple drops of WD-40!!
    Never EVER!!....cross thread your aluminum cover!

    From your description, I would say that it isn't worth putting any more money into it. If you can get it working to some degree, great, otherwise, it is a great paperweight and conversation starter.

    I'm parting this one out.
    Not before I point it skyward though. We haven't seen a star in almost a week and I'm curious just how dim the optics will be.

    Took a look around last night.
    Watched 46P then mars.
    Meteor shower was a little distracting.
    I still can't believe I can see anything at all through this telescope! I'd love to look through a fresh one!
    I may keep the OTA (until a better one falls in my lap) and sell the electronic/mechanical parts.
    The drives and forks are near perfect.
