Mars and Saturn are visible in the west just after sunset. Venus is deep in the glow at sunset. Jupiter is visible all night. Mercury is low in the East just before sun rise. Neptune and Uranus are early morning objects. Pluto is low in the south starting around 11 pm. At magnitude 14, Pluto requires pretty dark skies and a ten inch telescope.

A local astronomy club can help you find them.

The naked (unaided) eye can see 5 planets. Now you can't see Venus as it is behind the Sun. It is dazzlingly brilliant as Morning star or Evening star when not near the Sun. Mercury is very elusive. Even if you see it, it will be gone the next day before you get confirmation that it is Mercury. Saturn & Mars are near the star Regulus now. Jupiter is in Sagittarius.
