Default Meade 8" Lightbridge opinions

Anyone have any experience with or opinions on the Meade 8" Lightbridge truss-Dob? We might have a chance to get one locally and listed as "new in the box with extra lenses" for $250. Deal or no deal?

So aperture fever is a good thing, right? That's what I tell my sweetie anyways.

FOR $250.00 bucks I'd buy it even it it was not new in the box...kind of hard to go really wrong at that price....

I do not think they even make the 8" one any longer however ..there was not muck of a market for any truss tube dobs under 12 inches in aperture...BUT who cares...

Just my opinion...

Sounds OK, not a lot of used dobs that I see.
For comparison a brand new Zhumell Z8 is $380 with 2 eyepieces and free shipping.

I think it's a good deal.
And yes, size is important for telescopes.

That is a decent deal ..Meade doesn't make an 8in. DOB any longer ...A buddy of mine uses one of them on a 20in scope as a finder ..They are real nice , especially for that amount ..
