    Hello,
I wonder if you guys remove the springs of yor dobs before you put them to sleep, or if you leave the springs all day and night.

    Thank you

Without spending a lot of time trying to dazzle you with a complicated physics dissertation mumbo-jumbo, just let me say that if a spring has not been stretched, or compressed, beyond its design limits it's "just fine". Now, if you've stretched/compressed the spring beyond its limits, it's already no good anyway.

I shoot pistols. The old wives tale that magazines needed to be emptied before long term storage has proven over time to be just that, an old wives tale.

+1 No reason to remove the springs, except for your own convenience. Leaving it on will not hurt the spring.

The only issue requiring the unloading of magazines would be when the brass can get dimpled under the force.. To maintain a high degree of reliability they should be reloaded in a random order once a day. Springs are never designed to be used in such a way where time wears them down under normal use, unless there are unintended temperatures that mess up the spring steel.
