    Congrats on the new scope. It sounds like you had an excellent first light experience, too. From now on it just gets better and better when you start tracking down those distant DSOs.

    Congratulations on the new scope-sounds like you are hooked already. It will probably only get worse.The 6" is fine instrument!

    Try this link and keep the list handy. It's what to see every month. Another good tip - Download Stellarium. It's free. It will tell you exactly where to look at any time of the night. It's real time and extremely accurate.

    Congrats on your new scope, Alex. I actually think the six incher is a great place to start, and is a scope that you are more likely to keep should you decide to get something bigger in the future. And folks who spend much time in this hobby DO seem to like to have more than one scope at hand...
